putting things where they go

To summarize the past few months would be a massive undertaking, so instead, we’ll just be moving on. For the most part, at least. I can’t imagine how I would begin unpacking everything. It’s also amusing to me that I ended off before the Lunar New Year, which was almost perfectly according to plan… except I had forgotten about the plan entirely. Anyway, so here’s what’s happening right now:

  1. My brother has finished elementary school. He will be going to high school in September. It is the same school that my sister and I went to only in name – pretty much everything else is different. We’ve been to the new building this year, on separate occasions, and it’s alright. Apparently it’s not big enough, which is a crazy oversight.
  2. Gloria’s going to finish her bachelor’s soon, which is causing her to be very stressed. Not much is new with our household here… well, my dad renovated my siblings’ rooms and the hallway upstairs, and we did some more tidying up around the house. Everyone is growing up or older, and we all have our fair share of conflicts and (mis)communications. The usual.
  3. Yesterday was my birthday! I’m 24! I’m four entire six-year-olds, or two twelve-year-olds. Fascinating. So it’s the summer now, and I’ve gotta stay busy (or I’ll drive myself insane). Actually, either that or my siblings drive me insane. My friends say that I should hang out more with people my age, which hopefully I’ll be able to do. I love my bed and my desk and all my beloved lovely junk, but I will probably need fresh air every few days.
  4. Also, I need to gain more Muscle. I can’t just waste away, not after I finally became strong enough to carry children and/or large boxes across the school. And since I intend to stay at schools, I need to be more and more Able.
  5. Unrelated thought, but my brother is the same height as me (upwards of 170cm, or 5’7). It’s unnerving to look him in the eyes when we stand and talk. He was just an itty bitty baby not long ago… with his big eyes and cutie dimples… his spiky hair and warm chubby cheeks… sigh…
Of course, it’s not that I like his baby-self more than his current self (his current self is large and mostly reliable and limby and still warm and full of hugs), but man, time really flies.

Will I update more often? Will I end up writing something about how the past school year went? Will I talk about TV shows and/or books and/or new projects instead? Only time will tell.

Until then.
